Supervision Group for Experienced Practitioners
Running your practice can be an isolating experience, and yet we all share a huge range of common experiences as practitioners, which we can share and learn from, and really support each other to thrive and not feel so alone.
This is a place to bring your challenges, share and learn from one another, be supported, witnessed and gently challenged to really step into your practice with confidence and joy.
This is a place to bring your challenges, share and learn from one another, be supported, witnessed and gently challenged to really step into your practice with confidence and joy.
You will be invited to commit to a full series of six group sessions, held about 6 weeks apart
Common things we may reflect on together:
This list is by no means exhaustive, but a suggestion of challenges to explore. This is a place to bring those vulnerabilities, questions and explore how that might be impacting on you, and what parts of yourself may be in need of support or clarity in that; with other skilled and experienced practitioners, to create a strong sense of nourishment, community and support. Issues around boundaries, ethics, money, confidence, and burnout, are ones we all face as practitioners; The issues listed are suggestions and you are welcome to bring anything which may be impacting you in your practice to be brought to the group. |
As a group we will commit to listening deeply and openly, and to really supporting one another in our journies. A space for not only support, but accountability and gentle challenge too. A place of commitment to yourself, and one another in your practices.
Each session will be long enough to include and allow each group member to bring something you may be struggling with to the group, and the opportunity to contribute towards that individual if you feel moved to do so. As a group member you will be invited to commit to a full programme of Supervision, and to honour your commitment to attend, not only for yourself, and your own development, but also as a contribution to the others in the group. You will be asked to pay in advance of the session and agree to pay for missed sessions. Each 2-3 hour long group will be £65. |
- Dates will be agreed and set in advance to allow for as much planning around them as possible so you can commit well ahead.
- We will create a strong and safe container for you to bring whatever you like to the sessions, with a strong commitment to confidentiality.
- If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, please contact me for an informal chat, so we can meet and find out if we are a good fit!
- The Group will run every 5 to 6 weeks. the first session will last a little longer, then run for 2-3 hours depending on the group size, which will be no bigger than six.
- I also offer 1:1 supervision which can be held in person or online. Again, please contact me to chat through your needs.
So who am I?I started my training as a Shiatsu practitioner in 2000 with the Bristol School of Shiatsu, then trained as an E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner whilst living in New Zealand, in the early noughties.
I returned to the UK choosing to complete my Shiatsu training with the Bristol School of Shiatsu, where I had begun, and continued as a teaching assistant for three years, before moving onto assisting on postgraduate courses with Keith Phillips. I have also completed various Shiatsu post-gradute trainings with other teachers such as Bill Palmer and movement Shiatsu, and Gabriella Polli, and Mercedes Nunez I have run training programmes, personal development workshops and facilitated workshops for nearly 20 years in different guises, and bring a wealth of experience to this role.
A practitioner I have a thriving private practice in Bristol, and also run online sessions, and group workshops. I receive regular Supervision, Group and 1:1, and wouldn’t be thriving in my practice for as long as I have without it. I see it as an integral part of my Practice, alongside receiving regular Shiatsu of course! I am passionate about Shiatsu, and wish to create a place of community and support for fellow practitioners to really thrive. |
I trained with Macmillan as a volunteer, giving Shiatsu to cancer patients and have also worked for Macmillan and Penny Brohn UK supporting cancer patients.
I love learning and have completed numerous CPD courses over the years to really enrich my understanding and practice. I also trained with Dr Rosie Daniels as a Health Creation Coach, and more recently with the Supervision and Mentoring network as a Supervisor. |
