The 'Tapping' Therapy
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or "Tapping" is a gentle yet powerful approach that can create profound and lasting change.
Sometimes described as “acupuncture without needles”, EFT works by lightly tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations. This process helps to calm the nervous system and stimulate the body’s in-built healing response.
By working in this way, EFT supports the release of long-held emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and habitual reactions that may be keeping you stuck. These patterns often operate beneath conscious awareness, influencing how we think, feel, and respond to life’s challenges.
As these blocks begin to soften and clear, many people experience a growing sense of emotional freedom, increased resilience, and a deeper feeling of peace and calm. Over time, this can lead to greater clarity, improved emotional regulation, and a renewed sense of choice in how you respond to situations, rather than feeling overwhelmed or controlled by them.

How 'Tapping' Calms The Brain
Research shows that Tapping calms the amygdala in the brain, (the part which governs our fight, flight and freeze responses) regulates our nervous system, and reduces stress and anxiety.
A study published in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases found that EFT lowered the major stress hormone Cortisol significantly more than other interventions tested.
High levels of stress can lead to chronic complications such as high blood pressure, brain fog, weight gain and it can hamper the immune system.

Tapping involves stimulating acupressure points on the head, face and body, by tapping gently with your fingers, whilst talking through an issue, pain or difficulty.
EFT is a powerful tool I love to use with my clients, and once you've learnt the basics you can then apply them anywhere, without having to wait for your next session to really feel the benefits!
