EFT or "Tapping"

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or "Tapping" is a  way of working which can have profound results. Sometimes known as 'acupuncture without needles', it stimulates our in-built healing system, releasing long held patterns of thinking, behaving and reacting, to generate 'emotional freedom', and a deep sense of peace and calm.
EFT can, and has, successfully been used to treat conditions such as:

How 'Tapping' Calms The Brain

Research shows that Tapping calms the amygdala in the brain, (the part which governs our fight, flight and freeze responses)  regulates our nervous system, and reduces stress and anxiety
A study published in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases found that EFT lowered the major stress hormone Cortisol significantly more than other interventions tested.
High levels of stress can lead to chronic complications such as high blood pressure, brain fog, weight gain and it can hamper the immune system.
EFT tapping has been proven to:

Tapping involves stimulating acupressure points on the head, face and body, by tapping gently with your fingers, whilst talking through an issue, pain or difficulty.

​EFT is a powerful tool I love to use with my clients, and once you've learnt the basics you can then apply them anywhere, without having to wait for your next session to really feel the benefits!

IEP (Intention Energy Process)

I am also training to be an IEP practitioner (Intention Energy Process) with Steve Wells. You can find out more about this new way of working in an interview between Steve Wells and Dawson Church here. 

I am finding I get even more incredible results with this way of working. 
Intention-based Energy Process (IEP), also known as Intention Tapping is a simple yet powerful process developed by Steve Wells that combines specific definite intentions with tapping for rapid emotional relief. The intentions used in IEP act as commands to your unconscious mind to release the emotional attachments which are causing your problems, to unblock the energy disturbances and restore your life energy to flow. This gentle and natural process often results in rapid positive shifts in thinking and feeling, restores you to calm clarity, and empowers you to move forward with confidence.
Disclaimer: Whilst EFT can produce remarkable results it should not be used in place of conventional medical care. Always consult your GP for medical attention and advice. Clients have found EFT useful as a complement to any conventional medical treatment.

Research Into Effectiveness of EFT

Much research is being carried out on the effectiveness of EFT, and here's some of the latest:

"Conclusion: The results show that Clinical EFT is highly effective in reducing depressive symptoms in a variety of populations and settings. EFT produced large treatment effects whether delivered in group or individual format, and participants maintained their gains over time."
